I’m a journalist and a writer from the Connecticut/New York area and living in the Midwest. That, in itself, is the subject of a lot of blog posts.
WHERE I AM
Dealing with the impact of the flight reductions that have hit home.
WHAT I’M WRITING
Certainly not NaNoWriMo, since this will be one of the only Novembers of the last 20 years that I haven’t been writing that.
THE TYPEWRITING I’M USING
A 1964 Smith Corona Galaxie II. And an Olympia SM-9, depending on my mood.
WHAT I’M READING
“The Typewriter Century,” by Martyn Lyons.
WHAT I JUST FINISHED READING
Dark Renaissance by Stephen Greenblatt. It’s a biography of Elizabethan-era playwright and poet Christopher Marlowe, a contemporary of William Shakespeare and a guy with a fascinating backstory.
“Murder on the Orient Express.” I started this as an audiobook as I was going on a long car drive, and I finished the 8-hour or so audiobook. It was better than I thought it would be, although crazy ending.
